We didn't get horses until we were in our late 30's. We had a neighbor move in with horses that got us started. We started off with QH's and ended up with Tennessee Walking horses. We were backed up to some woods where we could ride down to Flint Creek. We've always like to ride the trails at Bankhead National Forest. When we moved where we are now, we had 6 horses, now we're down to 3 and I think we have one of them sold. The weather has really take a toll here. We've been in a drought for about 2 yrs now. We really need the rain.

I'm a cross-over member from As The Walking Horse World Turns. You were kind enough to help me find some video of The Whole Nine Yards recently. I appreciate the help, and have enjoyed the videos immensely. Your description of your farm sounds like heaven on earth. I can identify with the animal situation; at last count we have 12 horses, 2 ponies, 4 dogs, 3 cats, a bunch of chickens and a goat. However, the day ain't over.
There seems to me more action (postings) on this site, so I've got it on "speed dial" so I can hop over easily. I live in western Georgia, but for 35 years lived in Birmingham, AL and was born in Gadsden, AL, so this Georgia address is still new to me. Hope to chat with you soon.
